Oshun Oil is designed to help you draw in the bountiful energy of the Yoruba orisha, Oshun. She is known to bring in prosperity, peace, new love, and happiness. Oshun is the Yoruba River Goddess. She is one of the 7 major Orishas and rules all that is beautiful and joyful. She embodies all that things that pertain to love and sensuality. Her colors are gold and yellow and she is associated to the number five. Her favorite foods are anise, oranges, pumpkins, and sweets.. She is also a lover of perfumes and pleasing scents. My Oshun oil includes orange, anise, vanilla, mrryh and cinnamon. It comes in a 4 oz round bottle.

There are a number of ways you can use Oshun Oil. It can be dabbed on the body as a means to draw in her blessings, put in the bath, anointed on your altar, rubbed onto yellow candles. placed on the front door for an overall house blessing.

Below is an example of something you may do at home to feel closer to Oshun but it is always advised to receive a reading from a trusted babalawo for serious inquiries.

The get a yellow 7 day candle and put four small holes int he top. Drop a bit of the Oshun oil in each hole. Get and apple, honey and five yellow flowers (sunflowers work really well). Place them all on your altar. Cut the orange into five pieces and pour the honey on top. You may wish to write you petition on a piece of paper and place it under the yellow candle. You will want to keep the candle lit for exactly five days. Don't be afraid to tell Oshun what you desire or need her help with. Please note: although Oshun is very patient, she can lose her temper in severe cases. When working with her, always treat her with respect and thank her! After five days, take the remaining flowers, honey and oranges to a river and leave it there with 5 pennies. Sold as a Curio. For external use only. A skin test is recommended.
